Three more this week... new miniature paintings and new collaged frames. I wish I had purchased a few more of these frames. I'm finding the small images are fun to do and the encaustic on the frame is a challenge I would love to master because I really like the look. It has a nice sheen to it when it's buffed.

Aside from the miniature paintings, I am once again trying to reorganize my studio to make it more efficient. I waste so much time going from one space to the other and leaving things laying around so I don't know which space they're in or which pile they're under. I visit a friend's studio every week and it is heaven to work in there because she is so well organized. Frankly, I don't know how she has time to sleep but perhaps it's because she's so well organized. I wonder... can I get there... and then I look at the sign above my desk...
"One of the advantages of being disorderly is that one is constantly making exciting discoveries."

These frames, with the boat paintings, are brilliant, Helen, such an inspired idea! I fully identify with your organizational problems - I seem to spend more time rearranging my studio than working in it, but it's always a disaster...

Being organised... what is that? LOL

I like how the nautical paintings look in the frames with the maps on them. Great idea! I am definitely not organized. Last night I must have spent 20 minutes looking for the cap to my waterbrush. I lost it not once, but twice!!!

Helen,..........these are a delight to look at. Fantastic idea, and go so well with your paintings.
I'm not organized either, have a small room to start off with, but being a collector of this and that, find I'm left with little room to work in. I have a running dialogue with myself every day about getting organized. LOL It's going to be my winter project, and "this year" I'm going to do it!!!!

LOL... seems every artist needs to organize... how to do it is the question.

I'm working on some other frames using New York Times magazine pages. The magazine pages have been treated so they don't look like magazine pages. Now that I have you curious I'd better get to work and finish them. Not done yet, I'll post when I am. Meanwhile, I'm off to post this weeks effort.
