mixed media mom and a daily

Yesterday I started a challenge... a painting a day. The "canoes" is my first day. It's a small one, just 2" x 2". I'd like to zero in on a size that I can do consistently but haven't determined that yet. I think I'll experiment with different sizes for awhile and see which works best for this project.

I've come around lurking often and just wanted to stop by and say hi and how much I am enjoying your artistic ventures. I love the canoes! I love to kayak and that's why they appeal to me I think. What media did you use? And your mixed media piece is awesome! When you say photocopy you are actual using a copier rather than a printer right? I have tried transferring prints but have had minimal success.

Hi Marta, I'm so glad you introduced yourself. I enjoyed your travel sketchbooks and love the new one you just made. To answer your question, yes, it's a photocopy using a copier rather than a printer.

I love the mixed media piece of your mom!!! That is a nice project for old photos. Great job on the tiny canoes. A painting a day sounds like fun. Are you doing it on your own or with a group?

Thank you Joan... I'm doing it with a group though I'm not doing well this week. It's a wet canvas group.
